Time and Stress Management
Stress. We tense just seeing the word. We've heard the symptoms described as: anxiety...fatigue...tension...emotional outbursts...inability to relax. Stress is the physical and emotional energy used to adapt to change. Experts agree the right amount of stress can fuel your energy level and creativity, but the destructive side of stress can result in unfulfilled and bored employees, absenteeism, low productivity, high turnover, and injured workers. The challenge is learning how to operate at a personal optimum level. This workshop will focus on:
- How to respond rather than react in stressful situations;
- The single most important skill in dealing with stress, and how to develop it;
- Understanding the stress cycle so you can control it;
- Long and short term stress and why it is critical to tell the difference;
- How to harness stress as an energy gainer, not an energy drainer; and
- How to change what you see so you can change how you feel.
This workshop will include a presentation with exercises to reinforce what you are learning and plenty of group discussion to share ideas. Each participant
will be given an extensive handout packet full of ideas and suggestions that can be taken back to the workplace and shared with co-workers.
